De award werd namens NCRV in ontvangst genomen door Matthijs de Bruin.

Ook de populaire Nederlandse rapformatie De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig viel in de prijzen!

De Showbizz Award werd namens de groep in ontvangst genomen door Irfan Er van Topbillin’ Boekings en Management, het bureau dat toen alle boekingen van de groep verzorgt.

De prijzen werden uitgereikt door de internationale rap artiesten Luciano Scott en D. Chesron, die in stijl arriveerden per limousine om de awards persoonlijk te overhandigen.

Luciano Scott brengt een indringend verslag van de Dag van Herdenking Slachtoffers Breda 2009.

Hij liep mee tijdens de indrukwekkende herdenking waar ruim tweehonderd slachtoffers van geweld werden herdacht — mensen met een naam, een verhaal, en een gemis dat blijft.

Tijdens deze bijzondere dag sprak Luciano Scott met onder anderen minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin, burgemeester Peter van der Velden van Breda, Joost Eerdmans, voormalig Kamerlid voor de LPF, fractievoorzitter Mark Rutte van de VVD en partijgenoot Fred Teeven.

Voor Luciano was deze dag extra persoonlijk. Zijn beste vriend en persoonlijke DJ, Awinash Darsan, kwam eveneens door geweld om het leven.
